- Mars People is a type of enemy from Metal Slug X.
- The Mars Shot move starts off slowly and moves slowly as well.
(A) is blue and travels straight, while (C) is red and moves in a
zig-zag pattern.
- For the Area 801, Mars people jumps forward and then slams his
opponent with his tentacles. It's an overhead attack, and will
knock an opponent to the floor. The (B) version hits straight
down, while the (D) version comes out at a 45-degree angle and can
hit twice. The (D) version has a longer range, but either version
can be used to pass over low-level projectiles.
- The Plasma Spin move works a lot like Billy Kane's "Kyoushuu Hishou
Kon" attack. Mars People will leap up while spinning, then comes
down while spinning. The (D) version makes him land at a half-screen
distance from where he was originally.
- Also like Billy's move, if this attack hits in mid-air, then you
can juggle your opponent upon landing.
- The Plasma Abduction is an unblockable throw. Mars People levitates
his opponent, then strikes them with a bolt of lightning. It's said
to have a pathetically short range.
- The Roswell Vanish is an exploding teleport. Using B will make
him reappear in the same location, while D makes him appear a few
steps back from where he was prior to the explosion. The explosion
can hit, of course. Perhaps it can be used as an anti-air?
- The button used for "Not Independence" determines what side the UFO
appears on. (A) is your side, (C) is your opponent's side.
- During this super, a "mothership" comes down from the top of the
screen and crosses the whole screen while releasing three
rings of light. Your opponent has to be in the middle of the rings
to avoid taking damage. Otherwise, the rings are unblockable.
- You can juggle an opponent with the rings, depending on where they
are when they're hit. You may also be able to juggle them off a
ring from any of your own moves.
- In the MP 12 super, three rows of small UFOs attack from three
directions. You can juggle your opponent after this move hits.
The third wave of UFOs will come from the top of the screen
and travel back up in a U-shape, but if your opponent is still
standing or crouching at this point (having blocked the first two
waves), the third wave changes direction and travels across the
screen almost horizontally (and slightly upward).
- During the Tungus Incident, a large UFO comes crashing down directly
in front of him. This move comes out very quickly.
- Mars People's names seem to be references to UFO terms. "Roswell"
is from Roswell, New Mexico, where a UFO supposedly crashed,
"Not Independence" is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the movie
"Independence Day" (about a UFO invasion), and "Tungus Incident"
refers to a UFO-linked explosion that occured in Siberia.
